Monk Womack To Head County Little League This Year Monk Womack of Carthage has been elected president of the Moore County Little League for 1957 succeeding Dr. J. C, Grier of Pinehurst Womack said an 18-gaine schedule has been drawn up for the season which begins the last week in May. Four teams, the same as were entered last year, will compete: Carthage, South ern Pines, Robbins and Pine hurst. Last year Southern Pines was county champion with one of the finest teams that Coarii C., L. Dutton has had in his many years in the league. ’The Moore County all-stars, composed of members from each of the four teams, also gained state-wide recognition by ad vancing to the semi-fin^ in state playoffs. Other officers elected to serve with Womack are James Steed of Robbins, vice-president; Dr. Del- amar Mann of Southern Pines, secretary; and Harris Blake of Pinehurst, treasure.
