Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Strickland have closed their Pinehurst cot tage and left Sunday by plane for Detraoit, Mich. They will spend the slimmer months at the Oyster Tlarbors Club in Oster- ville, Mass. Mrs. Charles E. Satler has gone to Pittsburgh, Pa., and after a stay there, wiU go On to New Canaan, Conn., and thence to Nantucket, Mass., for the summer. The Misses Carole and Anne Hotchkiss flew to Bermuda Fri day for a visit of several weeks. Mr. and Mrs. William Wilson left Tuesday for York Harbor, Me. Their Midland Road cottage here has been purchased by Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Strobe of West Chester, Pa., who moved in this week and will occupy their newly acquired property for sev eral weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Martin S. Quig ley and their sons, Billy and Kevin, Of Larchmont, N. Y., spent several days this week at Mr. Quigley’s parents’ home. Column Lodge. Mr. and Mrs. Albert C. Abom left Monday for a visit in Put nam, Conn., with their daughter, Mrs; P. H. Peckham, who spent the weekend here. Mr. and Mrs. Winthrop Wil liams plan to leave this week end for a visit with her daugh ter and family in New Canaan, Conn., following which they will go to their summer home at Nantucket, Mass. After a visit of two weeks here, Mr. and Mrs. George Ra- zook and their small son and daughter have returned to their home in Brooklyn, N. Y. Miss Renee Razook, who is here on vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. R. Razook, deturns to New York City this weekend. Mrs. Cora G. Hopkins has moved to High Point where she has an apartment at the Presby terian Home. Belle Fitzg- aid has leased the Cloverleaf apartment formerly occupied by Mrs. Hopkins. Mack Wicker, a student at Bel mont Abbey, Chmlotte, spent last weekend visiting his moth er, Mrs. Angus Wicker, at her apartment Mrs. Mary Powers of Helena, Mont, is spending two weeks in Knollwood as the house guest of Mrs. Walter B. Saunders. Mrs. W. R. Craig left ’Tuesday for her home in Havertown, Pa., after a stay with her son and daughter-in-law, the Rev. and Mrs. Adam W. Craig. Billy Rice of Irvington-on-Hudson, N. Y., was a weekend guest of the Rev. and Mrs. Craig. • Mrs. James G. Gilbert, Mrs. William G. Sledge, and Mrs. Joe Hussey spent last weekend at Wrightsville Beach. Mrs. John L. Tonnelle, who has spent the season at The Berkshire, left the beginning of the week for New York City. Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Hoffman have closed their Midland Road cottage and are in New York City. Mr. and Mrs. James B. Greene left Wednesday for their summer place in Putney, Vt. Mrs. C. Foster Brown, who has been visiting her mother, Mrs. C. Louis Meyer, left Wednesday to return to her home in Winnetka, Ill. Another guest, Mrs. Henry King, returned the same day to Ligonier, Pa. Mrs. Meyer will close her place here and will leave for her summer home in Lake Forest, Ill., next week. Mr. and Mrs. Richard S. Lov ering, Maj. Gen. and Mrs. I. T. Wyche and Gen. and Mrs. A. V.
