I Filed by F. SI(iwina Hallman of Washington, the suit alleges that an: article published in The Pilot last September held her “up to public scorrf' and was “for the most part untrue, false and de famatory." Miss HaUmah refers to state ments in the article where were attributed 'to Mrs. Valerie Nich olson. The statements concerned the continuance for trial of a Superior Coiut; suit which Mrs. Nicholson filed. Parties to the Superior Court suit are Miss Hallman, Vincent J. Daly and Martha D. Underwood, all of Washington, who earlier filed a fedferal court suit against ' Mrs. Nichcdson for damages to taling $100,000,, ' Miss Hallman claimed in Sep- ' tember she was not able to come ( to Carthage to stand trial be- ■ cause she had been beaten up ,by ; two men who. had entered her 1 apartment irr Washington, D.
