Flynn, Route 2, Cameron, recently spent a three-day pass at the Army’s recreation center at Gaimisch in Germany’s Bavarian Alps. Flynn, a cannoneer in the 320th Airborne Artillery’s Battery C, entered the Army in January 1957, completed basic training at Fort Jackson, S. C., and arrived in Europe list December. He attended Benhaven High School, Olivia. Specialist John H. McKinnon. son of John H. McKinnon, Route 1, Carthage, recently participated in the Seventh Army automatic rifle matches in Grafenwohr, Ger many. Specialist McKinnon, a fire team leader in Company A ,of the 13th Infantry, Mannheim, Ger many, entered the Army in Dec ember 1955 and arrived overseas in August 1956. The 22-year-old soldier, son of Mrs. Cornnie E. McKinnon 85 Newton st., Newark, N. J., was graduated from Berry O’Kelly High School, Raleigh, N C in 1954. ■’ I Army PFC Donald T. Lutz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lutz, 173' Merdin St., Southern Pines, is participating in “Exercise Eagle Wing,” a 101st Airborne Division^ maneuver at Fort Campbell, Ky. The two-week maneuver will end April 30. Lutz, assigned to Company E of the division’s 502nd Infaiitry, entered the Army in January 1957 and received basic training at Fort Benning, Ga. The 22-year-old soldier is a 1953 graduate of West-Southern Pines High SchooL and attended North Carolina A & T College. Two Local Girls Are On All-School Teams Patti Hobbs and Jacque Daven port of Southern Pines, students at Coker College in Hartsville, S. C., have been named to the col lege’s all-school honor basketball squad for the year. The rating goes to top performers on each class club in regular interclass tournament competition. Miss Hobbs is a freshman and Miss Davenport a sophomore.
