Hal. Wl. Little of Wadesboro, governor of District 769 of Ro tary International, of which the local club is a part, was paying his* annual visit to the club. While here he also conferred with officer^ and committee chairmen. There are some 9,900 Rotary Clubs in 110 countries, he said, and each, within their owif com munitiqs, promote interinational understanding, goodwill and peace through various programs. The student fellowships is only one of the many programs that are conducted, Mr. Little said, but it pointed up the type activi ties carried on by Rotary organi zations. One North Carolinian, Henry Clark of Reidsville, has just com pleted a year’s study at the Uni versity of Bern in Switzerland on a Rotary Foundation Fellow ship.
