Visitors can photograph “tame”
Canada geese at close range at
Gaddy’s Gobse Refuge near An
son ville (Highway 52). The big
birds are actually wild creatures
making their winter, home at the
Refuge, but grow so accustomed
to human beings that they come
up close to be fed or photograph
ed. The Refuge is open to visitors
through March, and some 10,000
to 12,000 Canada geese and
many ducks are now wintering
there.
