EHRMAN PICKLER Cub Pack 206 Meets Cub Pack 206 met Tuesday af ternoon at the Boy Scout hut with their den mother, Mrs. Hurley Short. All but one member were present. After the preliminaries the boys witnessed an experiment in connection with their theme on science for the month of Janu ary. The boys enjoyed a practice march, led by Robert Garrison, den chief, and directed by. a den dad, Sgt. James Craven. Bobby Morgan was selected to serve as denner for this year. Birthday Party ■ Janet Carpenter celebrated her fourth birthday Tuesday after noon at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Carpenter. Fifteen of her young friends at tended the party. Following play Janet opened her many lovely gifts. Ice cream, birthday cake and'candy were served. Personals Mr. and Mrs. Lee Pridgen, Jr., and son Richard of Monroe visit ed Mr. Pridgen’s parents, the Rev. and Mrs. Lee Pridgen, Thursday. Cadet Phillip Mather, Jr., has returned to the Citadel, Charles ton, after spending several days with his mother, Mrs. Phillip I Mather. i Mrs. J. L. Miller and James i Bralley have returned home from ' Nutley, N. J., where they went to ' attend the wedding of the late Mr. Miller’s grandson. Mrs. L. L. Foushee has return ed to her home in Durham after spending a \^eek with her mother, Mrs. J. R. Lampley. Mrs. Adam Roth and Mrs. Joseph Cornell of Danbury, Conn., visited Mrs. John Fiddner, Sr., several days last week. They were en route to Florida. Tommy Bryant has returned to Brevard College after spending several days with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Bryant. PFC Paul Hupko of Camp Jackson was at home for the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Hupko. Mr. and Mrs. P. J. Tarlton and daughters, Ann and Linda, of Clarksville, Va., were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Pickier. They visited Mr. and Mrs. W. K. Carpenter, Sr., in the afternoon. Mrs. J. W. Pickier, Mrs. O C. Adcox and Mrs E. F. Pickier went to Troy 'Wednesday afternoon for a visit with Mrs. Pickler’s sister, Mrs. J. T. Norris. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Sessoms and son, Michael David, of Chapel Hill visited Mr. Sessoms’ parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Sessoms, over the weekend. Mrs. Ch^lie Mangini of Miami, Fla., and Mrs. Seth Sterling of University Park, Md., are visiting their mother, Mrs. Mittie Wallace. They came to be with their bro ther, Roy Wallace, who has been ill for several weeks. Roy was car ried to the Veterans Hospital in Fayetteville, Tuesday. WOMEN SHARE PROGRAM Farm Bureau women, while ac tive in overall activities of the Bureau organization, will have their special program during the annual meeting of the North Car olina Farm Bureau on February 7-9 in AsheviUe. A special meeting for the wom en will be held February 9 at 12:00 during which the women will complete plans for their pro jects and program of work for the year.- NOTICE!
