ARMED FORCES Army Specialist Four Daniel Worthy recently participated with other personnel from Com pany A of the 1st Infantry Divi sion’s 121st Signal Battalion in providing support for Army Re serve and National Guard units during their annual summer train ing at Camp McCoy, Wis. Worthy, a switchboard opera tor in the company which is reg ularly located at Fort Riley, Kan., entered the Army in December, 1959, and completed basic train ing at Fort Banning, Ga. The 24-year-old soldier, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Worthy of Pinehurst, is a 1955 graduate of Academy Heights High School in Pinehurst and attended the Agri-i cultural and Technical College of North Carolina in Greensboro. His wife, Isabel, lives at Mount Vernon, N. Y. Army Specialist Five Willie I. Headen, whose wife, Mary, and parents, .MY. and Mrs. WiUiam Headen, live at Pinehurst, recent ly arrived on Okinawa and is now a member of the .65th Artillery. A radar operator in the artil lery’s Battery C, Specialist Head en entered the Army in 1951. The 30-year-old soldier is a 1961 graduate of Academy Heights High School, Pinehurst.
