11 4 \ THURSDAY, OCTOBER 26, 1961 ‘The Searcher,’ Published Here, Out in New Form The first issue in, new format of “The Searcher” a monthly mag azine puplished by the Psychic Observer, Inc.,, with offices in Southern Pines, has appeared. Tom O’Neil of 110 Highland Road, editor and publisher, said that the new, smaller size replaces the former “Searcher,” a publica tion with nation-wide circulation. The magazine is going to all sub scribers to , “The Searcher” and will also be available on news stands. “The Searcher” magazine replaced the “Psychic Observer newspaper six months ago. Listed as associated publisher is Eleanor O’Neil, The associate editor is James Morton and the advertising manager is Charles Cornett. Beth Turner, young commer cial artist who has a studio here, is doing art work for the publica tion and has a number of sketch es and drawings throughout the first issue, as well as a painting in color on the cover. The magazine, five inches by seven inches in size, and having 128 pages, contains articles on clairvoyance, ghosts, astrology, prophecies and other psychic sub jects. An article, “Spacemen May Avoid Earthmen,” dealing with possibility of life in space, is fea tured. The magazine is printed at Holyoke, Mass. Kara- gheusian at Aberdeen. Lunch was served to the seniors in the gymnasium lobby from 11:30 to 12, between the col lege and vocational conference periods. The program ended at 1:35 p. m., when the students boarded their school buses to re turn home.
