Also surviving are her husband; one son, Penn Williams of Balti more, Md.; one sister, Mrs. Min- A short funeral service was conducted Wednesday at 11 a. m. at Lamms Grove Primitive Bap tist Church by Elder C. T. Har- ward. Another service was con ducted at 2:30 p. m. Wednesday at Pleasantville Primitive Bap tist Church in Rockingham Coun ty by Elder Jimmy Gardner. In terment was in the church ceme tery. Circles Meet The three Circles of the Vass Presbyterian Church met last week with programs on “United Council Of Churches,” and Bible studies on the book of James. A social period with refreshments followed each meeting. Mrs. Hugh McLean was hostess to Circle 1 at her home Wednes day night with Mrs. Paul Dean Cameron presiding. Mrs. Howard Gschwind was program leader and Mrs. George Laubscher pre sented the Bible study. Circle 2 met Monday night with Mrs. W. D. McGill at her home in Lakeview. Mrs. C. G. Crockett presided, Mrs Coy Blue Sr, led the program and Mrs. Delmas Kimball was in charge of the Bible study. Mrs. Holler, mother of Mrs. McGill, was a guest. Adults present were: Mrs. Walter Boggs, Farmers Cooperate in Feed Grain Program Moore County farmers showed their desire to cooperate in the ef fort being made to reduce surplus corn and milo by diverting acreage and participating in the Feed Grain Program as follows: 571 farmers filed agreements and diverted a total of 3,132 acres of com and 111 acres of milo and were paid diversion payments amounting to $72,135.
