The STRAC Chorus’ “Salute to the Season’’ is to feature many of the world’s most renowned Yule- tide songs. Specialist Fourth Class Phillip Kelley is featured vocal ist. The STRAC Chorus was organ ized a year ago by a small group of men who expressed an interest in choral singing and since that time has made numerous appear ances. Fort Bragg’s 440th Army Band, directed by Master Sergeant Dav id Molovinsky, is well known throughout North Carolina, hav ing performed in many parades and similar functions. C Adcox. Mrs. Adcox, president, called the meeting to order. Mrs. Joseph W. Adams had charge of the program “Christmas in the New Testament;’’ she was assist ed by Mrs. Marlon Davis, Mrs. Hurley Short and Mrs. Clay Park er. A highlight of the program class was a- hymn, “Away in a Manger,” sung by the primary class. Nancy McCaskill accom panied them at the piano. Another special feature on the program was a trio by Jennifer David, Nancy McCaskill and Sheila Hammond. Their number was “Silent Night, Holy Night,” and they were accompanied by Mrs. H. H. Troutman. Other Christmas numbers were sung during the meeting. After the meeting, an exchange of gifts was enjoyed among the members and the guests present. Members of the society brought gifts for the orphanage and also food for a needy family. The JAMES WALSH & CO. LAWRENCEBURQ, KENTUCKY hostess for the evening, Mrs. J. W. Pickier, Mrs. Dorothy Brally, Mrs. E. F. Pickier and Mrs. Ad cox served , defreshments of Christmas cookies, mints, nuts and coffee to the 33 present. Mrs. Julian Scott poured coffee. The house wa^ decorated throughout with Christmas arrangements of greens and red berries. The re freshment table was lovely with a white linen cloth and an arrange ment of greens and red berries, with tall red candles in silver holders. Enjoy Christmas Party The Young Married Couples Class of Ives Memorial Baptist Church enjoyed a Christmas par ty at the home of their teacher, Mrs. Sadie Patrick, on Sunday afternoon. Kenneth Combs, Sr. They left Saturday for Mc Neil AFB, Tampa, Fla., where he will be stationed. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Parker have returned to their home in Ames- bury. Mass, after a visit with her mother, Mrs. Adelina Little. Mr. and Mrs. Marian Sessoms and children, Marion and Michael, of Greensboro, were weekend guests of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Sessoms. Pvt. John Marts spent last weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Marts. He was en route to Fort Dix. N. J. whence he left Thursday for overseas duty. Mr. and Mrs. Royce Anderson and son of Charlotte spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Lampley.
