Hiatt, Jr., both residents of Southern Pines Traffic Safety- Contrary to what most adults believe, teenagers are taking an interest in the automobile prob lem' that faces Southern Pines in view of the several recent fatal traffic accidents in town. Teen agers are often pictured as “hot rodders” and careless drivers. It is true statistically that teenagers have more accidents but it is also true that teenagers are taking a more active interest in safe driv ing. The recent deaths of two young men in an accident on Mid land Road caused teenagers to think about safe driving, and on Tuesday many students, inclu ding this writer, saw a woman die after a collision of two auto mobiles near the high school. Some students have received tickets for speeding and other traffic violations, but the major ity of them believe that some thing should be done about traf fic accidents and are anxious to do what they can to help. None of them want to see his classmates lying dead on our roads. Many young people think that bpth teenagers and adults should be tested more often on their driv ing skill and made more aware of the traffic laws of the state. •Protect Prime Windows •Eliminote Drofty Floors * Increases Comfort Of Your Home * increases Air Conditioning •Help Sweoty Windows *Cut Down Noise INSULATE YOUR HOME WITH CUT FUEL BILLS Increases Value of Your Home THEY DON'T COST THEY PAY FOR THEMSELVES . . .
