C n 4 I ^ h Page SIX THE PILOT—Southern Pines, North Carolina THURSDAY, JANUARY 4,. 1962 Norwegian Arts To Be Exhibited At St. Andrews An exhibition of modern Nor- weigian arts and crafts at St. An drews Presbyterian College, Lau- rinburg, will open Saturday, Jan uary 6, and continue through Thursday, January 25. Included in the display in the north end of the Liberal Arts Building at St. Andrews are items by designers Liv Hassel, Arne Tjomsland, Rachel Weyergang and Dagny and Finn Hald. The exhibition of dolls, seals, vases, candlesticks and other items includes arts and crafts made from textiles, whale tooth, teak wood, stainless steel and several other media. The Information Service of the Norwegian Embassy is lending the exhibit to the college for the display. Jobs for 96,000 persons were provided in 1960 by independent businessmen engaged in supply ing pulpwood to the pulp and paper industry in the South.
