N. Carter. Miss Sarah Jo Allen a student at TJNC, Chapel Hill, is doing her practice teaching at Hugh Morson High School in Raleigh. Miss Al len spent last weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Allen. Teddy Frye of UNC spent the weekend with his parents. Miss Nannie Golden has return ed to her home in Alabama after a visit with her brother and sis ter-in-law, the Rev. and Mrs. W S. Golden. Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Callaway have returned from a visit to their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Carson Cagle in Florida. Rites Held for Colon S. Sides Colon S. Sides, 50, of Aberdeen, died Thursday of last week. Fun eral services were held Friday afternoon at Powell Funeral Chapel in Southern Pines con ducted by the Rev. John Brown of Pine Hill Baptist Church, as sisted by the Rev. Harvey White of Pinebluff. Burial was in the Ashley Heights Cemetery. Mr. Sides was a farmer and poultry grower. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Opal Lucas Sides; two sons, Rayvon of Aberdeen, Route 1, and Larry of the home; two grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Clyde Ragsdale of Badin; and two brothers.
