Stale FFA Winner
The Norwood Future Farmers
of America team from Stanly
County won top honors Saturday
in the state FFA land judging
meet at Biscoe and will represent
the state in the national meet at
Oklahoma City in May.
Second high team was from the
Deep Run FFA chapter in Lenoir
County which placed first in last
year’s contest. This wias the eighth
annual event sponsored by Car
olina Power & Light Company
and the N. C. Bankers Association
in cooperation with the N. C.
Department of Vocational Agri
culture, N. C. Agriculture Ex
tension Service, Soil Conservation
Service and the N. C. Association
of Soil Conservation Supervisors.
The Cameron FFA team re
presented Moore County in the
event.
