"WHO OWNS CPCrL, DAOr Good question, young man, especially since surveys show that marvy of our own customers don’t know the answer. The answer is that thousands of people own CP&L. People like your dad, your neighbors, as well as some young folks like you, invest in our Company and help it grow. CPcjL is not owned by the state. It is not owned by the federal government nor by any tax-supported agency. It is an independent, taxpaying business, regulated by govern ment and operated in the public interest. That's one of the reasons why you can continue to expect good service even though electricity is delivered to you at bargain prices.
