On these days the Explorers will do almost any type of work—any thing from washing dogs to mow ing lawns. Any person who has any work he would like done may call McKeithan’s Funeral Home for arrangements. The number to call is 0X2-6262 or 0X5-1301. The Explorers are arranging a Parents Night for Friday, May 18 to honor the parents and ad visors of Post 889. Saturday, May 6th, the Ex plorers headed for Carolina Beach. On the trip to the beach the boys visited The Carolina Power and Light Company and then toured the USS North Caro lina. The boys are grateful to Ward Hill for giving them per mission to visit the Carolina Pow er and Light Company. Warren McCrimmon, Lynn Dunn, Har vey Scherr and Harold Bridge- man drove the boys down to the beach. They stayed at Godfrey’s Cot tages and enjoyed a cook-out on the beach Saturday night. Some of the boys went to Kure Beach where one of the advisors, Charles Kay, caught a fish, much to the amusement of the Explorers. The boys returned Sunday afternoon baked to a shiny red color but all admitting that the weekend had really been a blast! The Explorers earned all of the money for the cottage, food, and transportation expenses. 'They washed cars, mowed lawns, and generally worked very hard for the money that took them to the beach for the weekend. This F-85 beauty handles like a part of you. Parks like a compact.
