Joining her this weekend for Christmas are her daughters, Mrs. Mary Elaine Hall and her daughter Mary Heidi, of Omaha, Neb., and Mrs. C. Foster Brown, Jr. her husband and sons, Terry and Louis, of Winnetka, Ill., also, C. Foster Brown, Sr. of New York City. Mrs. Mulford Horr is spending Christmas in Berkley, Calif, with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Shattuck, and two sons. She expects to return Jan uary 29. Arriving Thursday from Princeton University for the hol idays with his parents, Adm. and Mrs. Thomas C. Ragan, is Tom Ragan, Jr. Also planning a Christmas visit with the family are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Swann of Atlanta, Ga. Mrs. Mona S. Wise of New York City ■will be here for Christ mas with her sister, Mrs. Marie Sullivan. Mr. and Mrs. Randolph R. Few and children are expected from Durham for Christmas with her mother, Mrs. Paul Dana. Mrs. Frederick E. W. Darrow is arriving from New York City for the holiday season with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. William B. Nugent and their daughter, Bonnie, who arrived today from Woman’s College. Miss Patricia Creath arrives this weekend from Charlotte and will b.e with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Creath, until December 26, when she plans to visit her fiance, David Weed and his moth er, in Westfield, N. J. Miss Frances Greet of Great Neck, Long Island, will be the guest during Christmas week of her godmother, Mrs. Edward C. Conlin. Mrs. J. H. B. Rebham, who has been visiting Mrs. Con lin for several weeks, returned Monday to her home in Garden City, N. Y. John O. Hobson will spend Christmas in Atlanta, Ga., with his daughter, Mrs. James C. Bur roughs and family. From there, he plans a visit with a friend in Jacksonville, Fla., and will also visit in the South of Florida. The Hugh Carters on Midland Road will have with them for Christmas their son, H. William Carter, Jr., his wife and two sons, of Wiinston-Salem; also, their daughters, Mrs. John Cod ington, Dr. Codington and their three children of Wilmington, N. C.; and Mrs. Edward L. Clayton. Jr., her husband and their small daughter, of Baltimore, Md. Mrs. Eugene Scholl and two children of Durham was the guest of her mother, Mrs. Colin McKenzie, several days last week Alfred von Schlegell got here Monday for the holidays with Mr. and Mrs. John von Schlegell. He is a student at Georgia Tech. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hotchkiss of Winston-Salem will spend Christmas with his mother, Mrs. H. P. Hotchkiss and sisters. Misses Carole and Anne Hotchkiss. With only one night’s action re maining before the Christmas ho lidays, the Aberdeen and Pine hurst boys and the Pinehurst and West End girls continue to lead the conference race with unblem ished records. At this point these teams along with Southern Pines boys and Carthage girls appear solid favorites to capture season and tourney honors come Febru ary. Friday of last week, double header games were won by Aber deen, Westmoore, Pinehurst and Carthage. Wiley Barrett scored 27 points to lead his Pinehurst team to a total of 88 points in downing Vass-Lakeview. Tuesday’s action featured the Southern Pines boys collecting a total of 91 points while downing High Falls, with Robert McCrkn- mon and Francis Warren scoring 21 points each. Wayne Lewis led the Aberdeen Red Devils with 22 points as his team defeated Cam eron 77-64. Westmoore girls up set Carthage 40-38.
