With one victory al ready behind them, the Knights await only a chance to show more of what they can do to really make themselves a great season, and with more support all round they will have it. Seniors' Plan The seniors of 1964 had double cause for excitement this Wed nesday. First of all, the long- awaited, long coveted graduation announcements and name cardls have arrived, much to the joy of every senior, especially since these have already been paid for. ■Secondly, though presenting a quils, and one of red quince Mrs. N. A. Pleasants had charge of the program and gave an interesting and, at times, amusing history of the Club. The Round Robin Garden Club was organized 14 years ago when four interested gardeners met and agreed that each should invite an other person to join. The mem bership grew to 12 and at one time there were 15 members. However, the club seems to func tion best with an active member ship of 12, the present and desired membership. During the social hour, Mrs. Leach served apple cake and iced tea. Briefs Dr. and Mrs. Francis Pleasants, Jr. and daughter, Laura, of Col umbia, S. C., spent a recent week end with his parents. Mrs. Joe Braley and children of Gap, Pa., have been visiting her mother, Mrs. Kate Matthews, for several days. Mrs. Eugenia Thomas of Ra leigh is visiting Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Brasington. Chief Petty Officer and Mrs. Paul Muse, Jr. and fafliily have been on a 10-day leave with Mrs. Paul Muse and family. He will report to New London, Conn, for eight weeks schooling after which he will return to Damenack, Va., where he will teach a course in submarine training. Miss Susan Bridgers, student reason for apprehension, the sen iors were measured for their caps and gowns. The class is rather up-in-arms as to an agree ment upon the color of the gowns which would be satisfactory to both the school and the company Only time will tell, but this in security only adds to the excite ment of the event. Supervisor Visits On Wednesday, April 1, amid the seniors’ delight arrived Ray mond Rhodes, state supervisor of athletic activities, to visit our school. After seeing our track team, Mr. Rhodes, above all, should know what to expect of the boys. Some more seniors and the col leges to which they are bound next year are: Francis Warren, King’s Business College; Judy Harriss, East Carolina; and Randy Medford, Massey Modeling School in Atlanta. But also one correc tion: two weeks ago I stated that Lin Dunn was planning to attend UNC next year. Lin was also ac cepted to VPI (Virginia Polly- technic Institute) and is intend ing to go there in the fall.
