sleepy students was shocked into
reality. For some of them, this
was a last chance to make a good
grade for college. But we are
certain that every student will
make above what he expected.

Happy days are here again!
Wednesday, December 2, reports

past six weeks were given out in
the form of report cards! There
were many sighs of relief from
some lucky students who had
made better than they expected,
but there were some sights of
disappointment from those who
didn’t do so well. All we would

A native of Glendive, Mont., he
earned his Bachelor of Science
degree in Civil Engineering from
Montana State College. He is a
member of the American Society
of Civil Engineers and a veteran
of two years of service in the U.
S. Army.
He is married to the former
Phyllis Anne King of Southern
Pines.

rations, and she is a great help to
the girls.
Christmas Means Fun
Monday, December 7, there
was a joint meeting of the Future
Homemakers of America and the
Student Council. The purpose of
the meeting was to decide if the
two clubs would give a tea for
the whole school as a Christmas
present. It was voted that the two
clubs do this. The tea is to be
held in the lounge of the high
school building either Monday,
December 21 or Tuesday, the
22 22nd.

Sunrise Theatre
Pinehurst
The baffling circumstances sur
rounding a tragic air crash are
the subjects of “Fate Is the Hunt
er,” Twentieth Century-Fox re
lease in Cinemascope which
opens Sunday at the Sunrise
Theatre. The script by Harold
Medford is based on Ernest K.
Gann’s .book of the same name,
a saga of the airways by the
same man who wrote “The High
and the Mighty” and “Island in
the Sky.” The film will be seen
Sunday and Monday.

Bane, the man ordered to investi
gate the causes of a jet airplane
disaster in which the only sur-|
vivor was an airline stewardess,
played by Suzanne Pleshette.
