Every State is given a place in this Hall for two statues of its favorite sons. But North Caro lina has neglected to do this and her niche is still vacant. But the State Historical Society never does things by halves and we expect to see the beloved Vance's statue in Statuary Hall the next time we vi*it Washing ton. Shoes! Shoes!! Shoes!!!
