The C hautauqua Folks at Princeton. Princeton, Oct. lf>. ? This town and community is to have a three-days Chautauqua -October 18, 19, and 20. Cap's Orchestra will appear the first day. The really great musicians are not city-born or city-bred. They come from the hills and the valleys of the country-side- from farms und villag es. This is noti.hly true in Europe and mainly true in America. The person nel of Cap's Orc: ? stra is composed of manly fellows who, throug! long as sociation professionally, faultlessly blend their genius as they do their personalities. Theirs is the music of the plain people artistically classic, yet brought forth in a way to delight the enr to which the high sounding terms of music are but empty phrases. Helen B. Paulsen, Lecturer, Educa tor, had her technical training at Co lumbia University, New York. Shu htHf been a teacher and Kindergartener. Lecture Subject, in the afternoon, "Thumbs." Every town is made up of all kinds of people: Some are always light-hearted, happy and healthy; some are always sad, moody and dys peptic, with no apparent reason for the difference. Neighborly folks; and those who never visit. Some always good; some just naturally mean. Some open-hearted and public-spirited, sortie always looking for something for nothing. Evening lecture Subject*. "The Court of Lust Resort"? A Community Awakener. "Find Your K< y" ? Methods to use in teaching people right living. There is no luck of notion when Mrs. Paulsen lectures.. Her style is direct nnd en< rg. tic. Her ability as a speaker is enchanced by her intense belief in what she is saying. Her lectures are delivered in ft rapid-fire manner, and the interest and enthu siasm of her audiences testify to her ability to make life lessens interest ing. Chautauqua Enthusiasm. This charming group of girls comes on the second day and brings to the platform a unique progrtun with many interesting features. The (Soprano, Miss Edmonia Petty, bids fair to make a distinct place for herself in the Chnutauqua ? she sings, reads, plays the banjo and last hut not least, the Irish harp. With Miss YVenger, the Mezzo Soprano and pianist, she will present a group of?o!d Irish folk songs while the entire Company will partic ipate in the old country games and quaint dances (these to be given only upon request.) Dr. Hutching has a real message for the work. His virile lectures are drawn from the rich varied experience of one who has touched life at all points, and who has the ability and power to make others sec and feel what ho has seen and felt The Gypsy Marionettes and Lloyd H. Taylor will appear on this day. Ap pearing in conjunction with each oth er, the Gypsy Marionettes and Mr. Taylor, furnish delightful programs. Missvs Margaret Hard, Rebecca Brown, Theodosia Dwiggins and Ma ry HunUn are the Gypsy Girls rnd with them Mr. Taylor. Their program is particularly unique. Costume, per sonality, charm nnd artistic ability iv'l contribute to their successful en semble. The Closing Out Sale.
