THE NEWS IN PRINCETON. Princeton, Nov. 28. ? Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Raiford, from Durham, are visiting friends and relatives in town. The many relatives and friends ef Mrs. Frank Wells will regret to learn that she is confiend at her home very sick, but not considered dangerously ill at present. Miss Eveyln Humble, of Elon Col lege, is spending a few days with her sister, Mrs. Will Eason. Caspian S. Holt, from the battleship Oklahoma, is at home on a short fur lough visiting his parents and friends. Miss Lucinda Edwards was bitten by a dog about three weeks ago. The wound had almost healed, and she had not suffered much from its effects until one day last week, she was taken seriously, and was a raving maniac until hi'r death Saturday. She was buried Sunday near Princeton. An other proof why the dogs should be killed out. Sincc the good road was completed from Princeton to Beulah township a great many farmers from the north side of Johnston come to town to trade, and dozens of wagons have hauled thi ir cotton here to our eight minute gin? men who a year ago never crme to town, and a large num ber of them are here every Saturday. Grant ha m-McBryde. Red Springs, Nov .28. ? A wedding of much interest throughout this sec tion of the State was solemnized at the home of Mr. Thomas McBryde on Tuesday, November 27, at 3:30 o, clock, when his daughter, Jane Brown, became the bride of Mr. Lewis Irvin Grantham, of Lumberton. The house was beautifully decorated with ferns and yellow chrysanthemums. Preceding the ceremony Miss Annie McBryde, sister of the bride, sang "The Sweetest Story Ever Told." Mrs. W. C. Brown presided at the pirno. To the strains of Lohengrin's "Wed ding March" the groom entered with the best man, his brother, Mr .Walter Grantham, of Smithfleld. Then ceme the bride with her sist r, Mrs. Bert Nisbet. During the ceremony "To a Wild Rose" was softly played. Rev. Eugene Alexander, pastor of the bride, officiated, assisted by Rev. W. C. Brown. The bride wore a handsome blue suit with gray hat and goves, and carried u shower bouquet of Bride roses and valley lilies. Mrs. Nisbet wore a blue satin gown r nd carried yellow chrysanthemums. Miss Annie McBryde wore taupe satin and Mrs. Brown grey crepe de chine with rose trimmings. A reception followed the ceremony. Mr. nnd Mrs. Grantham left for a trip to Florida and Cuba.
