Episcopal Convention. The Convention of the Episcopal Church of the Diocese of North Carolina met in this town last Thursday, and adjourned on Mon day evening. The Bishop, with most of the Clergy, and a due pro portion of the Laity attended. There was divine service and a sermon twice a dav during the Convention. On Saturday, the rite of Confirmation was confer red, and on Sunday, the Sacra ment of the Lord's Supper was administered to about 100 recipi ents. Mr. John Nornicnt, (for merly of this place) was admitted to the order of Deacon, and is, we understand, to perform IWissiona ry duty in Halifax and the parts adjacent. Fayetteville Jour. The Season. The Subscriber has had charge of the Williamsboro' Academy for upwards of six years, during which time, he be lieves entire satisfaction has been given to all interested. The government of this School is strict, but parental. Con stant attention is paid, not only to the general improvement of the Students in useful learning, but also to the forma tion of correct morals. The Exercises will be resumed on Monday, 23d of June. Two or three additional Stu dents can be accommodated with Board iu the family. Board can also be ob tained in the most respectable families of the Village and neighborhood, on mo derate terms. Williamsboro' has always been tamed for its healthful situation, and its excel lent water. No Student has been ab sent from School more than one day, on account of sickness for several years.
