Also, his interest to and in the HULL, known as May's Milt, Also, from 13 to 20 Valuable Negroes, Consisting of men, women and children. 'HERE AS there is a report in cir culation that I have conveyed my negroes to a certain person, for the pur pose of a maintenance during my life: Now this is to certify that I have done no such thing, and that if any person holds a conveyance of my negroes in any other shape than by a Will, it is a forgery or a fraud, and I now challenge them to bring it forth, or forever here after hold their peace respecting the same. THE Subscriber, from the statement of several gentlemen, who have latc lv returned from the west, in whom im plicit confidence can be placed; thinking it would be to the interest of his family a V V 1 to move, oilers tor sale all nis lanus, viz: One Tract in Halifax County, On which he now lives, lying on the main road from Halifax to Warrenton, eighteen miles from each place, contain ing between two and three thousand acres the land is of excellent quality for corn, cotton, wheat and tobacco, with a large portion of first rate low grounds, say from three to four hundred acres, a part of which is now in cultiva tion. There is a sufficiency of cleared land to work twenty-five or thirty hands to advantage. There is on this tract a large commodious dwelling-house, fifty four by twenty-eight feet, with ten rooms and six fire places, one of which is twenty-eight by twenty-six, finished in the neatest manner there is also ev ery necessary out-house about the place, all of which are now new, and were made of first-rate materials. Within the limits of a beautiful grove of oak and hickory, which surround the dwelling, are two never failing springs, not infe rior to any in the State. There is also on this tract an excellent Grist mill, hav ing two pair of grist, with bolting cloths and cotton Gin. ALSO, ALL MY Lands in the County of J fash, Containing four thousand nine hundred and seventeen acres, the rise of three thousand encompassing the town of Nashville, with three lots improved within the corporation. On these lands are delightful springs that never fail the hind is very productive some of which is of the best quality there is a mill seat near the town. I invite gentlemen from the lower country to come up and examine for themselves, as well as those above, as a great bargain may be had by applica tion to the Subscriber, living on the premises. .JOHN ALSTON. RAN OFF from Beaufort, North-Carolina, where they were employed on the rortifi cations at that place, Seven Negro Fclloivs, To wit: MILLIARD, HENRY, LEW IS, ANTHONY, ROY, ISAAC, and b RANK. The three first-named Ne groes were apprehended at Hicks' Ford Greensville county, Va. Anthony and Roy were at the time in company with those apprehended, but effected their es cape. Frank was left by the party some 20 or 30 miles beyond Halifax, N. C. and Isaac some 5 or 10 miles on this side of Halifax, both complainingof sickness and unable to travel. Frank is a small black fellow, and about 22 years of age Isaac-is a stout young fellow, about 21 years of age, complexion rather yel low Roy is a slender black fellow, a bout 20 years of aeand Anthony is a stout built black fellow, about 23 years ol age no particular marks recollected. The above Negroes were making their way to Norfolk for the purpose of join ing me. A liberal REWARD will be given for the apprehension of Frank, Isaac, Roy and Anthony, and should they be delivered to Mr. Niblo of Petersburg, he will pay for their apprehension and all necessary expenses.
