For Sale at this Office, by wholesale or retail,

Jit least 10 per cent Cheaper
THAN EVER FOR CASH OR BARTER.
IN order to save the trouble of moving mv
Goods near the Bridge on the 1st of Januar'y
nrxt, to my own lot and store which Mr. Denja.
M. Jackson at present occupies, 1 will sell the
remaining part of my goods at least 10 per
cent, cheaper than I have hitherto sold them,
vhich 1 know will compare both in quality and
lnce with that of any other foreign or domestic
competition. I cannot with any degree of truth
announce to the public of my having
A Stock of 15 or $20,000
On hand, and could I even do so in truth, I would
by no means show so much pomposity and
much less so if it was not the truth. So 1 must
console myself by saying, that I have a tolerably
well selected though small stock of Goods, all of
which were purchased new and fresh this fall.
And if a person can get any article he mav want
from among a stock of 3 or $54,000, at the same
price or cheaper than'he can from a slock of 15
or 20,000 dollars, 1 cannot see why it is not just
as good. Although my stock is small and will
remain so until euily in" the spring when it will
be much enlarged, nevertheless 1 have just re
ceived from New York
Jin additional Supply of Goods,
CONSISTING OF
Ladies Cloaks, latest style of winter prints,
Gentlemen's Cloaks and Over Coats Vests,
Ladies three threaded cotton Hose Cambrics,
Wide bobbinett Lace, fine Superior white Flannels,
Negro Blankets do. Hats and Shoes Cheese, &c.
Which together with the stock on hand, ren
der it very good and complete. All of which is
offered to the public not only as cheap as can be
had in this little place, but in any neighboring
villages. 1 would say cheaper than at any other
place, but really the word cheap has of late been
so much abused and has become so common, that
1 am ashamed to rehearse it together with the
recent appearance of a most frightful mammoth
ougoear in the hree Tress, has completely deter
red me from ever publishing much more about
cheap goods, c. &c. I know a great deal
might he said on the subject, but I will content
myself bv requesting tho5e wishins to purchase
any article that i can supply, to bn so good as to
taror me with a call and look lor themselves, and
there will no doubt be a trade. I will not promise
much, for those that promise most perlorm least.

Daily Expected,
kT coTTisrcrs,
( Two doors above Mrs. Gregory's Hotel.)
A VERY EXTENSIVE SUPPLY OF
Fancy and staple American, French,
English, German, Swiss Irish
GROCERIES,
Hardtvare, Cutlery, &c. &e.
Which with his present Stock will be by far the
most extensive in Tarborough,
Being upwards of $35,000,
And as the above Goods were bought for Cash
hnd by a first rate judge, I think it more than
probable they were purchased as cheap as any
Goods in this market; but whether they were or
not, they shall be sold as cheap, or to punctual
customers a little cheaper, for Cash than they
can be bought at any other store in this place, (I
mean goods of the same quality.) I have no
fear or hesitation in saying this, because I am
determined to do what 1 say I will not te'.l one
tale here and when a person comes into my More
tell another. Hut do not take my word for it,
call and examine for yourselves, I do not charge
any thing for looking. All kinds of produce ta
ken at the market prices.
