On tbe 18th of January the pub lic school teachers of the county Will meet to perfect a permanent organization for tbe whole county. The organization is required by the laws of North Carolina and all the public teachers are required to be members. Prof. Peel will be the organizer and he is doing all in his power to make it comply with the purpose of the law in ev ery respect and create an enthus iasm not anticipated by the law. There will be an interesting pro gram and it is hoped that tbe teachers will enter the spirit of the organization and show the proper enthusiasm. Teachers will receive pay for that day and the names of those present will be taken by the county Superintendent. Farmers Meet, Peanut Grow ers Organize. There will be a meeting of the farmers of Martin County in the court house on Tuesday the 16th. The meeting will be for the pur pose of discussing farm subjects, stock raising, and the cultivation and the marketing of crops. These subjects will be discussed by spec ialists in their line and will nece>- aarilyjbe of much benefit to those present. There will also be a num ber of talks by farmers of Vhe county in connection with the tlis cussions of the specialists, making it altogether a very profitable meet ing. In addition to the discussion of farm subjects there will lie an fort made to organize the |>eaniit growers of this section, not alone for the purpose of controlling acre age but for the purpose of market ing the crop so as to .keep out of the hands of speculators. This or ganization will not only be for the purpose of controlling future crops but the crops now on hand. This is a phase that should interest every farmer and business man in the county and it is hoped that a large number will be present. Every liody who is interested in the progress of our section should attend. Peanuts are a great source of income to our county when the price is a fair one'; our soil is nat urally constituted for their profit able production and the grow'! and success of a crop is now prac tically sure. The only question is that of pripe. The fixing of price heretofore has been in the hsnds of speculators it should cause everybody in Mar tin to be interested in this meeting. Let everybody attend, it will bt the best days work of the year. Gold Point Items Gold Point Dec. 27th 'OS. Mr. L- A. Briley is moving t«> Robersonville to day. Those pains yon feel when you first ariae in the morning—aching pains in tbe joints, shooting pains in the mnacle —are signs of waru iag. They are danger evidences of a deep-seated trouble that if not removed, they may de velop suddenly into the deadly Rheumatism of the Heart, which kills like lightning. Better get rid of the cause at once. Rheumatism and its kindred diseases are caused by tbe accum ulation of poisonous aciJifc, in the blood. Rubbing with oils or lin , iments will not cure it; it is an in ternal disease, and can l>e cured on ly by an internal remedy There is just one complete cure—Rheu macidk. Rhkumaciok neutral izes the poisonous acids, sweep* all the dangerous germs out of the blood and "makes you well all ov er." RHEUMACIDE CURES because it is the ouly remedy that ' 'gets at the joints from the inside. Mr. W. R. Hughes, of Atkins. Va., writes: Four bottles of RHEUMACIDE have entirely cured nie of a long case of Rheumatism, and greatly improved my general health. I was a total wreck, having had rheumatism for twenty years. I spent several weeks and much money trying specialists in New York, but RHEUMACIDE is the only cure I have found. When I begun to use it I weighed 140 pounds. Now I weigh 180 pounds, my normal weight." ■ m — • The Winter Stock Company.
