JULIOU FOU6T, President, 6r«iBsJMr«.N.G. Robersonville News and Advertisements The doctors say it is '"dlstressing ly healthy" around here. The prospect Is unusually flattering. The farmers are put ting in tobacco and the warehouse men here are arranging to give thein the best price?. Dr. and Mrs. J. E. Ward, Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Everett and little daughter Hazel and Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Cannon are off for Norfolk for a few days. The pastor of the Missionary Baptist Church held regular ser vices here Sunday. He said some plain things about gambling and whiskey-telling. He does not want such to "start up" in the town. Rev. Mr. Davis is expected next Sunday at the Christian Church. On next Monday night the Methodist pastor will begin a series of meetings. He will be assisted Rev. Mr. Broom, of Washington. It is almost dangerous to cross Main street here on account of the uumber of autos. J. H. Roberson & Company are repainting their ftore and hotel. Mrs. J. L. Roberson has recently painted her residence. There are many improvements in the town especially in the residen tial portion. The colored people are building in the Southeast sec tion of the town. The most enjoyable thing of recent date was the picnic of the several Sunday Schools in the town Wagon loads of children with neighbors and friends with lemons, ice and dinner met a goodly num ber of friends of the country at the bridge near the home of S. T. Everett and everybody enjoyed the day to the fullest. A day in the ARE YOU SICK?. There were no unpleasant happenings and the entire crowd bad a jolly good time. Why Sell Tobacco With Adklns & Bailey? Because they havefalwa\s stood by the farmers and "have not chang ed every time the wind shifted, and when there was a bad crop they stayed with you just the same as when a good crop was made, and by staying they have won the con fidence of the farmers and buyers. We ask all of our friends to stand by us and not run off after people who make big promises and get your tobacco to their market, and the next year are gone tome where else, so sell \our tobacco at home with Adkius & Bailey. Notice —— To the Democratic Voters of the 2nd. Senatorial District. I have decided to become a can didate for the office as one of the Senators from this district, in the Next General Assembly of North Carolina, and re-pectfully solicit the support cf all democrats of said district, both at the primary aud Convention. Foley Kidney I'ilU are a uric acid solvent and are effective for the various forms of rheumatism. Saunders & Fowden. Junior Ballists The Cubs went to Robertonville on Tuesday and gave the boys there a double-header. The mora ing game was handled by Thrower aud Leggett for and the see re was 2to . i in favor of the Robersonville team —the feature of the gAme being Thrower's delivery, batting and making the only score. The afternoon game was interest ing with more scoring for both teams Perry and Leggett kept the 'sphere under fine control and won the game to the tune pf 12 to 11. Williamston's Cubs are ball players and could teach the Giants a stunt or two, because they have good practice nearly every day. Rober sonville has a splendid team and gave the boys here a good time on the diamond and were most hospi table. REPORT OF THB CONDITION OF THE Bank of Robersonyille£ Rotjerscnville, N.
