He kept his mon ey in a trunk in his room, unknown parties broke in his room one night while the family was away attending a school ex hibition. The trunk contained about $70.00 and some change. Sixty five dollars was missing when Vernon came back. A five dollar gold piece and some change were overlooked by the robbers. There is said to be a great deal of money being kept in fanners' homes these days, and .it is expected that many such affairs will be reported. A number have already occured.
