EMBROIDERY CLUB MEETING
At the home of Mrs. F. L. Barnes,
the Embroidery Club was very hos
pitably entertained Tuesday after
noon.
This was the first meeting held in
six weeks on account of the interven
tion of Lent and a business session
was held. After another hour delight
fully spent conversing and embroid
ering the hostess, served a salad
with sandwiches and hot tea.

Answers Calls

The local fire department is work
ing on a daily schedule now. Wed
nesday night" it answeryd a call near
the Brick warehouse, and though the'

succeeded in extinguishing the flames
before the building was consumed by
