Misses Mary and Geneva Cook re turned Sunday from Miami, Fla., where they visited their brother, Jim Cook, for two weeks. A. R. Dunning spent Saturday in Norfolk, visiting Mrs. Godwin Dun ning, who has been spending some time in the Protestant Hospital there. Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Bowen, of Greenville, visited Mr. and Mrs. L B. Harrison Sunday. Mrs. S. C. Collins, of Wilson, who has been visiting her husband at the Britt Hotel, returned to her home on Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Luke Lamb, who have been visiting Misses Mayo and An nie Lamb, have returned to their home at Wilson. Victor Burrell, of Rocky Mount, visited friends in town Sunday. E. Hoyt Roberson, of Route No. 6, was in town yesterday. Joe Ballard and .son, of Oak City, were business visitors here yesterday. Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Godard and Jo seph, Mra. J. S. She was assisted in receiving by the guest of honor and Miss Es ther Harrison, of A. C. C., Wilson, who spent the week end at home. Miss Lillian Sample made high score and was presented a box of candy and Mrs. Parker was given a lovely luncheon set. The refreshments consisted of chicken salad, pickles, sandwiches, celery and punch. ' Those playing included Mrs. Par ker, Misses Esther Harrison, Estelle Crawford, Mildred Darden, Lillian Sample, Eleanor Stanback, Lucy Claire Ivey, Bonner Gurganus, Thel ma Brown, and Messrs. H. B.
