Watts entertained about one hundred and fifty of their friends with a dance and barbecue. The occasion was in honor of the birthday Of the host. The Robersonville .Orchestra, ac companied by Mrs. Watts and Miss Bettie Perry, rendered the music, and it was very much enjoyed by those dancing. During the evening a buffet sup-, per, consisting of barbecue sand wiches, celery, olives, and pickles, I was served. Mr. Watts was the recipient of many lovely gifts in remembrance of his birthday. Preceding the dance Mr. and Mrs. Watts entertained with a small din |ner party.
