Spend Sundry Here Mrs. Oscar Smith and daughter, Marjorie, and Mrs. Bertie Brown ing, of Norfolk, spent Sunday here with Mr. and Mrs. Rush Bondurant. From St. Marys Miss Jane Moore, student at St. Mary's College, in Raleigh, spent the week-end here with her parents, Judge 1 and Mrs. Clayton Moore. Here Monday Mr. Ira Griffin, of Williamston, R. F. D., was here selling tobacco on the Williamston market yester day. Return From AshevUle Mesdames J. H. Saunders, Leslie Fowden, S. R. Biggs, and Miss Anna Crawford returned Sunday after spending several days in Asheville with Dr. and Mrs. Grover Godwin. Leaves for New York Frank Mmgolis left last night for New York City, where he will buy late fall and winter merchandise for the firm of Margolis Brothers. He will return Thursday night. Move To Apartments Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Harrison are moving from the Woolard home on Academy Street to the Tar Heel Apartments this week. Attend Circus in Raleigh Mr. and Mrs. S. C. Griffin and daughter, Marie, and son, S. C., jr. attended the circus in Raleigh Satur day. They were met in Raleigh by their sons, Clyde and Irving Griffin, who attended the show with them, Return From Maryland Mr. and Mrs. F. U. Barnes re turned last week from Pocomoke City, Md., where they have been vis iting relatives. In Town Yesterday Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Griffin, of Williamston R. F. D., were in town shopping yesterday. From Jamesville Mr. John Price, of Jamesville, was in town selling tobacco yesterday. F, Jackson and son, Ralph, and grandson, William F. Wood, of Norfolk, are visiting rel atives in Martin and Washington Counties. Mr. Jackson, a former res ident of Jamesville, has been connect ed with the Post Office Department for many years in Norfolk. Visitors Here Monday Messrs. The boys and girls gathered at ber home and for an hour enjoyed out door games, after which they were Invited indoors to the dining room, where a central table was beauti fully decorated and centered with a pretty birthday cake with ten light ed candles. The growers are picking, ginning, and selling as fast as the crop opens.
