Beacham - Hadley
Miss Mary Frances Hadley and
Mr. Carl Lee Beacham, both of this
county, were married the 22nd of
j last month at Bayboro by Rev. J. B.
Burrus, of New Bern. Mr. and Mrs.
L. J. Peel were the only attendants
,upon the ceremony. The wedding
'came as a surprise to the couple's
many friends, with whom they are
; very popular.
Mrs. Beacham is the daughter of
Mr. W. P. Hadley. Mr. Beacham
irthe son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles
Beacham.
The bride wore a dress of blue
crepe with accessories to match.

home with the bride's father, where

Griffin - Rogerson
i Miss Minnie Rogerson, daughter of
Mr. Romulus Rogerson, and Mr. Al

Alonza Griffin, were married at the
I home of Mr. and Mrs. L. T. Holli

'o'clock, Mr. Holliday officiating. On
ly a few witnesses were present.
Following the ceremony the young
I couple and a few intimate friends en
| joyed a wedding supper at the home
of the groom's parents.
| The young couple, residents of
'near Williamston, are very popular
in the Griffins Township community,
! where they will make their home with
the groom's parents.
THE ENTERPRISE
Home Betterment Club
The Home Betterment Club met
at the home of Mrs. O. S. Cowin on
Pine Street January 2, it' being the:
first meeting this year. The meet
ing was called to order and presided
over by the president.
The afternoon was spent in cutting
patterns and discussing dress mak
ing. The club decided to meet next
j Tuesday, January 9th, at 2:30, at
I the home of Mrs. Hubert Smith.
