Everetts Man Befuddled
After Short Stay in Jail
(Robcrsonvillc Herald)
A story almost e?jual to the one
where the old man did not know his
donkey from a hole in the ground,
was told Monday by Chief William
Gray.
Boh Stalls, Everetts man, came to
town Monday and partook too freely
of the spirits and Chief (iray placed
him in the town jail to sober up. That
afternoon, when file officer went to~
release Stalls, the prisoner, thinking
he was in the county jail at William
ston, asked Chief Gray what he was
doing in the county hoosegow. So
sure was he that he was in the coun
ty jail, Stalls asked Chief Gray to go
downstairs and get Sheriff Roebuck,
explaining that he wanted to see him
?mi?important?business Apparently,
the man was still so drunk that he
did not know which jail he was in,
whether it was night or day or which
was the first or second floor of a
building.
