PEANUT MILLERS have to pay a "Processing Tax" of one cent per pound on all farmer's stock peanuts
milled and sold to the edible trade. A part of this Processing Tax is to be paid by the Government to "Oil
Mills" for peanuts crushed for oil. If TOO MANY peanuts are crushed into oil, it may cause a short supply
before the next crop.
