News of the wedding came as a surprise to the many friends of the young couple throughout this section yesterday. Mrs. Grimes is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hyman Warren, of Robersonville. She was educated in the schools of this county and earned her degree in the East Car olina Teachers' Training School, Greenville Following her gradua tion there she has been a valuable member of the school fsculty in this county. Mr. Grimes is the son of the late Mr and Mrs. Stephen L Grimes, members of well-known families ?n this county tor a long number of years. He was educated in the Uni versity of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and has been prominently connected in educational activities in Lenoir. Martin and Bertie coun ties. At the present time he is a member of the ^Aulander school faculty Following a short wedding trip, the couple will return to this sec tion. the bride to continue her work as a member of the Bear Grass faculty and Mr. Grimes to continue in the Bertie school unit until May 1 when they will make!
