Interesting Meet
There were 23 members and one
guest present on Wednesday for the
regular monthly meeting of the Wil
hamston Woman's Club. The pro
gram committee had arranged with
Rev. Z. T. Piephoff to give a show
ing of motion picture reels of 'Tour
ing the Coffee Continent," as nar
rated by Lowell Thomas These reels
were very interesting and instruct
ive as they showed how coffee was
grown and prepared for consump
tion.
The business meeting was presid
ed over by the President, Mrs Louie
P. Martin The nominating commit
ted brought in the names of Mrs.
Wigg Watts for secretary, and Mrs.
G. tt. Harrison for treasurer These
were unanimously elected to office.
The club voted to assist Mr. Hix in
paying for new draperies, donated
$5.00 to the Crippled Children's cam
paign and made a further donation
of $20 to the permanent playground
for children in Williamston.
The annual convention of the
North Carolina Federation of Wo
men's Clubs will be held in Greens
boro, May 1, 2, and 3 and it is hoped
that this club will be represented at
this meeting in order to complete j
its requirements for the year and ;
thus become a 100 per cent club.
