As a part of specially planned National Cotton Week activity, cities over the Cotton Belt are* staging sewing contests for high school and college students, the National Cotton Council announces. Under sponsorship of leading de the requirement that all garments entered he made of cotton. Selection of winners is made at a special cot ton style show. The Council credits the origin of the plan to merchants of Greenville and Spartanburg. S. C., where an Inter-City Sewing Contest was held last your.- Final selection of the Car olina winners this year was made at Greenville. S.
