I tiave been Bookkeeper for Harrison Wholesale Company, of Williamston, for Sixteen
vears. During this period of time, while the late C. A. Harrison was County Treasurer, I
kept the hooks of Martin County for liini. I am eontinuing to assist Mrs. (his Harrison
in bookkeeping duties of the county in connection with the office held hy her late hus
band. \s a result of the sale of the Harrison Wholesale Company a short time ago, my
seryiees with tin' firm will no longer he needed after January I.

My father, the late Alex II. Smith, lawyer, ami one-time mayor of Williamston, died when
I Has four years old. Since then, I have had to educate myself, and support my family.
This job nill mean much to me; and I solicit your votes because I feel that 1 can fill the
office of CoiiiiIn Treasurer ably and honorably.
