The altar was beautifully decorat ed with pink and blue larkspur, peonies, fever few and painted dais ies, banked against pine. At the base of the seven branch candelabra on either side were smaller baskets of blue and pink gladiolia with a nine branch candelabra in the center. Prior to the ceremony Miss Ka thryn Mewborn, of Tarboro, attired in a becoming pink street dress with a matching corsage of Briarcliff roses and valley lilies, played "Ah Sweet Mystery of Life", "Claire De Lune", by Debussy; "I Love Thee", by Grieg and softly throughout the ceremony, "To a Wild Rose." Mrs. Harper Hol liday, of Wilson, wearing a becoming blue dress with pink accessories and a corsage identical to Miss Mew born's, sang "Indian Love Song" and "Because". The young couple entered the church together to the strains of the traditional wedding march.
