Keep frozen cubes of tea in your
refrigerator if you like your ice tea
strong and undiluted.
Keep chilled a jar of left-over tea

on hand to sweeten fruit bevergaes
Save and use in beverages the
juice from such canned fruits as pine
apples. pears, peaches and from the
fresh fruits used in fruit cups
Sugar Syrup
3 cups sugar
3 cups water
Boil sugar and water together for
five minutes in a covered pan. Cool,
place in glass jar and store in refrig
erator.
Always have a jar of this syrup on
hand so you can sweeten any cold
beverage to your exact taste and
without wasting the sugar that us
ually remains in the bottom of a
glass to the annoyance of the dish
washer. A whole pitcher full of
Lemonade may be made up fresh
at a moment's notice, if you do not
have to wait for the sugar to dissolve
and it will all be uniformly flavor
ed.
Freeze a sprig of mint or a cherry
in the ice cubes to be used in drinks.
Desserts from Your Mechanical
Refrigerator
Turkish Canatloupe
2 cantaloupes
3 tbsp chopped ginger
1 tsp gelatin
1-16 tsp cinnamon
1-8 tsp nutmeg
1 cup whipping cream
Grind the cantaloupes and ginger,
add the sugar, spices and salt. Soak
the gelatin in 2 tablespoons of the
cantaloupe juice and melt over hot
water. Add this to the cantaloupe
and finally fold in the cream which
has been beaten until thick but not
stiff.
Freeze at coldest position until
frozen for about one inch from the
edge of the tray. Beat very vigor
ously in a chilled bowl or right in
the freezing tray with a wooden
spool I
Return to the froster and when
frozen reset the selector to normal
position for storing ice cream.
Frozen Peach Foam
1 large can evaporated milk
2 tbsp lemon iu:
?2 clips crushed peaches
2-3 cup sugar
1-2 cup white corn syrup
1-2 tsp almond extract
Dash salt
Scald evaporated milk, then chill.
Crush the peaches or put through a
meat grinder, add the sugar and syr
np, then allow to stand until the
sugar dissolves.
Whip the evaporated milk in a
large bowl placed over ice cubes and
water. Add lemon a little at a time
as it thickens Finally add peaches
gradually while continuing to beat.
Freeze without stirring with the
temperature selector set to lowest
freezing position.

Frosty Tomato Soup
2 cups tomato soup
2-3 cup evaporated milk (unsweet
ened )
1 tsp salt
1-8 tsp onion juice
1-2 tsp celery salt
Dash each pepper and clove
?1 tsp sugar
Add the seasonings to the tomato
juice and allow to stand for about
an hour.
Pour the milk into a quart jar or
beverage shaker, add the seasoned
tomato juice and four refrigerator
ice cubes. Cover the jar closely and
shake until well frapped.
Serve in small glasses with or
without finely cracked ice.
