Harris, Jr.. of Raleigh, entertained at a bridge din ner at the home of their mother, Mrs. T. F Harrison, announcing the en gagement of their sister. -Tn?ephin? Harrison, to Edwin Holding The en gagement was made known by bridal place cards containing pictures of the bride and groom-elect and dated October 16, 1940. On arrival the guests were serv ed a two-course dinner, and through out the five progressions, Mrs R. D. Woodward served fruit punch. Dahlias, zinnias and other fall flowers were used effectively in both living rooms and the hall" where eight tables were set for play. Bridal tallies were used. Mrs. C. B. Clark, Jr., won the high score award, a pair of plaques; Miss Ruth Manning, second high, crystal ash trays; Mrs. William Ev erett, novelty coaster set, for con solation, and the honoree was pre sented a sugar and cream set in her chosen crystal pattern.
