A Wonderful Liniment Sl ake Forest's Deacs Ind Marshall Clash Saturday Afternoon ?YuiI Between ohn Polanaki And Marshall's Star, Hunt, Resumed Wake Forest? Two great bruising uotball players will fight it out this veek when Marshall College's Jackie lunt and Wake Forest's Jolting John >olanski clash here in Groves Sta lium. They'll be taking up where hey left off in 1939. These two boys put on a great ;rid show at Huntington last year vith Polanski probably getting a light edge in the argument, since he Deacons were able to win 14-13. lowever, the margin in Polanski's avor, if any, was meager and Hunt's ?erformance for the Thundering lerd that day and throughout the eason was nothing to be sneezed it. In fact in the Wake Forest gdme, t was far above that of any individ lal the Deacons faced in 1939, with lut doubt. He completed five passes for 68 -ards, one going for a touchdown md another setting i?p a six-point ?r. His punt average against Wake oared to 44 yards per try on a wet ield, and he gained 84 yards in 7 ries rushing for an average of 12 ards per play. He had one sprint if 44 yards from rushing to his xedit. Jolting John completed one pass n four attempts for 15 yards to fohn Jett during the first touchdown drive and he gained l its yards Tush ng. He carried 24 times. Possibly dunt's paper record is more impress ve than Polanski's, but the pile-driv ng John connected on his tries more consistently when they meant points. 3olanski scored one touchdown from he 11-yard line. The two boys were sophomores ast year, now they're juniors. Mar hall and Wake Forest are not sched ?d to meet again in 1941. so this vill have to be the deciding game, is far as their personal feud is con cerned. Hunt stands 6 feet 2 inches ind weighs 200. Polanski stands 6 'eet 3 inches and weighs 210. Bladen Man SaU? 1500 Pounds Of Honey In '39 a W. H. Norris. of Tomahawk.
