The main dining room, where sup per in' three courses was served at 7.30 o'clock, was beautifully decor ated for the occasion with quantities' of fall flowers in rich Autumn shades. The long dining table covered with a cloth of white was lighted by | tall yellow tapers which burned at either end of the appointed table and the centerpiece was fashioned of 1 chrysanthemums and marigolds. The dainty place cards further ca:ned out the color motif of the floral dec orations. The place where the hon ored guests were seated was mark-1 cd with a lovely gift of silver. Miss Allgood will hake, free of charge, a fruit cake for any woman who does not own an electric range. this offer is restricted to the wo men of Williamston. The cooking school and clinic opened last Wednesday night. A 15 pound cake was mixed and baked in an electric oven with automatic control. The cake was placed in the oven at midnight and was not re moved until 9 a. m. tin following morning. Fruit cakes given away at the clinic were won by Mrs. Will Tay lor and Miss Madge Glasner.
