Those" lovely spring things that do so much for one.?Easter meals are import ant also, l^ie family must be nour ished and Easter meals have to be planned Try this menu Fruit Cup Broiled Chicken Cranberry Jelly Egg Nest Salad Sweet Potatoes with Fruits Buttered Asparagus Hot Rolls Boston Cream Pie Egg Nest Salad Arrange crisp thin carrot stocks on lettuce leaf to form a nest. Place three little cream chese eggs rolled in chopped parsley or chives?coarse ly shredded cabbage also makes a good nest. Boston Cream Pie Shortening, 1 tbsp Milk, 1-2 cup Flour, sifted. 1 cup Baking powder, I tap Salt. 12 tsp Eggs, well beaten. 2 Sugar. 1 cup Vanilla, 1 tsp Add shortening to milk and heat over hot water. Sift flour with bak ing powder and salt Beat eggs until | thic kand light; beat in sugar grad uully Add vanilla, then beat in hot i milk gradually. Fold in flour and i blend thoroughly. Pour batter into greased 9-inch cake pan 1 12 inches deep. Bake in a moderate oven (350* F.) 25 to 30 minutes. Split while warm and fill with custard cream filling. Frost with shiny chocolate frosting. Custard Cream Filling Sugar, 1-4 cup Flour, 1-4 cup Salt, 1-4 tsp Milk ,2 cups Butter. 2 tbsp Eggs, 2 or egg yolks. \ well beaten Vanilla, 1 1-2 tsp Mix sugar, flour and salt in top >f double boiler. Add milk slowly to make a smooth mixture. Stir and cook over hot water until thick. Cov er and cook 10 minutes. Add butter and well beaten eggs or egg yolks, mixing quickly. Cook I minute long er Cool and add flavoring. Shiny Chocolate Frosting Chocolate, 1 square Butter, 2 tsp Top milk. 14 cup Confectioners' sugar, about 1 cup Vanilla. 1-2 tsp Melt chocolate and butter slowly in milk and let stand until luke warm. Add confectioners' sugar un til of consistency to spread. Add vanilla. The frosting should be soft and glossy.
