Mrs. Bettie Bullock Dies In Cross Roads Mrs. Bettie Bullock, of Cross Roads Township, died at her home Monday. April 21st, at 2:30 p. m Mrs Bullock, 76 years old. had been ill since last Thanksgiving. Old age and general complications were given as the cause of her death. She was a devout Christian and was rec ognized by every one who knew her as an unusually fine woman and neighbor. Funeral services were held at the home with her pastor. Rev. Gilbert Davis, officiating. Interment was in the family cemetery' Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Remus Crawford, and three broth ers. Dave Osborne, Joe Osborne and Jeff Osborne, all of Cross Roads Township. Spinach Since the outbreak of the European war, spinach seed has gone up from 11 cents to 70 cents a pound, and on j ion seed from 80 cents to $4,50 a pound, wih no ceiling in sight. Art Festival Is Now Open In Greenville The seventh annual community Art Festival opened in Greenville yesterday and will continue through next Monday with a complete daily program outlined for the five-day event. A number of local citizens, partic ularly the women, interested in art are attending the programs in the Woman's Club building and a section of the Sheppard Memorial Library devoted to the WPA Art Gallery. The programs begin promptly at 9 o'clock each morning with the ex ception of Sunday. On Sunday the t xhibit halls will open at 2 p m. The daily programs will consist of mus ic, both instrumental and vocal, se lections from Glee Clubs, talks on harmonious designing and demon strations in flower arrangements and portrait painting Was Business Visitor Here Mr W.
