Eagles Lose Again As Martins Defeat E. C. T. C. Varsity Well, it looks as though it isn't in the books for the local Eagles to win a basketball game over the Bees of East Carolina Teachers College. In their third and probably final effort to take a victory over their jinx team the practically bald Eagles were turned back in a close game there Tuesday night. The score was 18 to 17. The Eagles took a short-lived 4 to 2 lead early in the game, and man aged to stay ahead during the first period, but the second period the Bees rallied and held a one point lead at half time, the count being 8-T. In the second half the teams bat tled on even terms over all the route, each team scoring ten points, the re sult being another one-point loss for the locals. Three Eagles, Rose, Ward and Cooke, each tallied four points to share scoring honors for the locals, while Rogerson, big center, was high for the Bees, with eight.
