Rev. W. L. Loy, of Bailey, pastor of the Middlesex Methodist Church, officiated, the vows being spoken in the presence of a few friends at Station Hospital No. 3. Ward 384. The couple were to have been married in Middlesex, but plans were changed immediately on account of the slight illness of the groom. The bride was given in marriage by S. F. High. Jr., a cousin, of Mid dlesex. Private Caiman Greenfield, of New York and Fort Bragg was best man The bride was attired in a dress of heavenly blue with dark blue ac cqggojj^s and a gold locket, a gift of the bridegroom. She carried a bou quet of pink roses. Mrs. O. C. Hol land. dame of honor and sister of the bride, of Middlesex, wore a dress of dusty pink with black accessories and a corsage of pastel flowers Mrs. Huddy is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. S. G. High She at tended Duke University and was the first nurse graduated from the school of nursing of the University. She completed special work in the Pub lic Health Nursing School, division of theCollego of William and Mary, Richmond. Coming here when the Martin County Health Department was first established, she faithfully served the county for two years or until she was forced by illness into temporary retirement. During her stay here and in Martin County she made many lasting friendships, and while it was hoped she would be able to return, employment war, accepted in Raleigh where she is now night supervisor of the Wake County San itorium. Mr. Huddy. son of the late Mr. and Mj's. Joseph Huddy, of Brooklyn, at tended the high schools in New York and New Jersey and the Essex Coun ty Vocational School. He did under-; graduate work at Paterson State Col- I lege. Paterson. New Jersey, and was a member of the Essex County Dem ocratic Committee. For three years he served as laboratory technician for the Schering Corporation in Bloomfield, resigning that position to enter the country's armed services At present he is stationed with the 47th Infantry. ENTERTAINS BRIDGE CLUB Miss Anne Getsinger was hostess Tuesday night to her bridge club in the home of Mrs. Bill Howell. Three tables were arranged for the game and the guests enjoyed four progressions. During the evening punch and nuts were served. Mrs Howell won high score prize and Miss Irene James was given a con solation prize. Later in the evening strawberry shortcake was served to the follow ing members of the club: Misses Bolton Cowen.
