ANOTHER 24 . CITIZENSHIP POUND GAIN Preparation For Voting Iowa Manufacturer Makes a : Statement to the Public Re garding Tanlac "I have been benefitted by Tan lac even beyond my belief and feel that It is time for me to talk for the benefit of others," said J. D. Wilson, secretary and .general man ager of the Algona Brick and Tile Company, of Algona, Iowa. "For three years," continued Mr. Wilson, "I suffered from nervous in digestion and a general run-down condition. My stomach was too weak to retain enough of what I ate to keep up my strength and I gra dually went down hill all the time. What nourishment 1 took soured almost at once, and gas would press up against my heart causing palpita tion, shortness of breath and in tense pain. My kidneys were in bad shape and the small of my back hurt almost constantly No treat ment or medicine did me any good, Jlost weight all the time and was worried for fear I would never be able to get well. "Finally a friend advised me to try Tanlac, and it has not only re lieved all my troubles entirely but I have gained 2 4 pound in weight and feel that 1 have been given a new lease on life. I eat anything now. Why, yesterday 1 ate steak and onions for dinner and it is nothing unusual for me to eat pork, cabbage and pastry and digest them perfectly. Tanlac has simply put me back in fine health and I am glad tu tell the public what it has done for me, for many other peo ple who fuffer as I did may be re lieved the same way." Tanlac is sold in Elizabeth City at the Standard Drug Company and at the Albemarle Pharmacy. WANT ADS I OK SAI.K TWO (.OOI) MII.K cow- Jer.-cy .iml C',i nisov. South MiM N C sep 2S fit npd (By Gertrude Wei!, State Chairman) Now that our Immediate goal of woman's enfranchisement bas been attained through ratification cf the Federal Suffrage Amendment, the suffragists of the State have a defin ite program, looking to the intelli gent use of the vote in the fall elec tions. We make the following sugges tions to local leagues and commit tees: I. Instruct the women of your town and county in the division of your county into voting precincts, the processes of registering ind vct- ine. the nerlod of re?w ration Mm date of election, and trie olkes fori which incumbents are to be elected. Urge upon them the desirability of investigating the qualifications of the several candidates for office and the selection of those most deserving of their support. Stimulate them to register and vote it is their duty as responsible citizens. (1) Town women may be reached by: a. Talks at special meetings. b. Talks at meetings of other or ganizations, clubs, church societies, etc. c. Distribution of literature. (2) Rural women may be reached by: a. Talks at meetings called by home demonstration agents, farm demonstration agents, county mov ing picture agents and at community fairs. (Get one of yuur members or some well informed man to do the talking ) . b. Distribution of literature. II Instruct your town and county women in a knowledge of govern ment, that they may have a more comprehensive appreciation of citizen-hip and its duties than from the foiegoing brief conre.
